Jimmy toured extensively with Willie Big Eyes Smith. He toured with Nate Turner. He played in Tail Dragger&#8217;s band for 30 years. He cut his teeth with the who&#8217;s who in Chicago Blues at the old Checkerboard Lounge. In more recent times he has become a regular in Billy Flynn&#8217;s band. He has expanded his musical offerings into Jazz &amp; Classic Lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Low-reen &amp; Jimmy Upstairs 11.16.25 @ Black Lung Brewing Round Lake Beach, Misty!\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IYnnCvvyEuw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Misty<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Low-reen picked up guitar, inspired by her time hanging out at the end times of the Maxwell St Market and her friendship with Honeyboy Edwards. Low-reen formed her own band in 2010, Low-reen &amp; Maxwell St Market Blues, as well as Low-reen &amp; the Lazy Dogs, and Low-reen &amp; Harpdog&#8217;s Firehouse Blues. She spent a great deal of time with some of the same people that were influencing Jimmy. First performing together in their band, in 2025 they added a Duo format for a special request show to include Jazz &amp; Classic Lounge as well as Chicago Blues. It was a big hit and was booked as a monthly residency, which also led to other shows.
